OUR SAFETY STANDARDS
COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
PCCS is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all staff & visitors. To meet this commitment, PCCS will endeavour to control any risk to workplace health and safety by identifying potential hazards, assessing the risk of the hazard, and implementing corrective measures which aim to control hazards at their source. Making a judgment on the level of risk involves assessing the consequence if a hazard was to develop into an incident as well as the likelihood of that development occurring.
COMPLYING WITH SAFETY STANDARDS
Perth Commercial Cleaning Services is committed to comply with all applicable legislation, regulation, standards, state statutory requirements as well as codes of practice. We do this by identifying and evaluating safety, quality and environmental risks before we start.
The principles of our WHSMP are contained within five categories and are part of a continuous improvement process, including; Policy and Commitment, Planning, Implementation, Measuring Performance and Performance Review.
WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT PLAN
Perth Commercial Cleaning Services (PCCS) has developed a Workplace Health and Safety Management Plan (WHSMP) following the principles of ISO 4500, which provides a robust framework for managing WHS risks and opportunities to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
This WSMP has taken into consideration legislative requirements throughout Australia and is designed to systematically identify and control the hazards and risks to all persons and the environment affected by our work and activities.
HAZARD AND RISK MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES
PCCS is committed to the early identification, and subsequent control of risks that can cause harm to people or the environment or could affect our commitment to excellence and quality of service.
PCCS consults with staff members and other key stakeholders during all stages of the hazard and risk management process affording them an opportunity to contribute to risk solutions and systems.
Training is an ongoing process at PCCS and is carried out to enable our staff to keep abreast of any changes to work processes, legislation and WHS issues.
HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS
All chemicals used by PCCS staff are managed in accordance with the appropriate safety data sheet. A risk assessment is made to identify hazards and develop controls for the safe use and storage while on site.
All substances brought on site will be recorded by supervisor and procedures for safe handling will be included in pre-work safety tool talks and relevant documentation.
